Pair of giraffe

Giraffe eat leaves, and so to beat the competition, as it seems to be a popular snack on the savanna, they evolved to grow longer necks in order to reach the tops of the trees and the higher branches other animals are not able to reach. They also eat pods and their mouths are hard and rubbery, like a camels, so that they can eat the massive acacia thorns and other undesirable prickly things noone else wants to eat.
